Introduction

Tanzania Agricultural Modernization Association (TAMA) is the national registered but locally active non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Bukoba, Kagera Region, Tanzania. TAMA is based on the philosophy that, for true and sustainable livelihoods to take place, there is a need for vibrant and joint broad decisions committed to mobilize smallholder farmers and the community at large to actively participate in the fight against extreme poverty through an active and effective response to the needs of marginalized groups that is, farmers, youth, women, disabled and orphans and vulnerable children in rural and urban areas.
